Privacy policy
Who we are
GetParlix is operated by Micronix System Pvt. Ltd., PS Srijan Corporate Park, Room No. 1901, 19th Floor, Tower 1, Block-GP, Plot G-2, Salt Lake City, Sector V, Kolkata, 700091, West Bengal, India. For any privacy question, contact info@getparlix.com.
Two different relationships
We handle data in two distinct roles, and it matters which one applies to you.
- Our own website. When you browse getparlix.com or submit the demo form, we decide how your data is used. We are the controller.
- Assistants on our customers' websites. When you talk to a GetParlix assistant embedded on another business's site, that business decides what the assistant knows and what it does with the conversation. They are the controller; we process the data on their instructions. Privacy questions about those conversations should go to that business.
What we collect on this website
- Demo requests. The name, email address, company, website, phone number, industry and message you type into the contact form. We also record the IP address and browser user agent of the submission, to detect automated abuse.
- Assistant conversations. This site runs a GetParlix assistant. Messages you send to it, and a randomly generated session identifier stored in your browser, are processed the same way as for any other account.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
What a customer's assistant collects
- Conversation content. Messages typed or spoken to the assistant, and the replies it gives, are stored so the account owner can review them.
- Contact details you offer. If you give a name, email address or phone number so someone can get back to you, that is stored and emailed to the account owner.
- Appointment details. Where a booking is made, the details needed to hold that appointment.
- Audio. During a voice conversation, your speech is streamed to a transcription service in order to produce text. We store the resulting transcript.
- Uploaded documents. The material the account owner uploads for the assistant to answer from. That content belongs to them, and we do not use it to train models or share it with other accounts.
Service providers who process data for us
These are the third parties involved in delivering the service:
- OpenAI: processes conversation text to understand questions and generate answers, and to produce the numeric representations used to search uploaded documents.
- Deepgram: converts speech to text during voice conversations.
- ElevenLabs: converts answers into speech during voice conversations.
- Our email provider: delivers notification, lead and account email.
These providers operate outside India, so delivering the service involves international transfers. Application data is held in a PostgreSQL database on infrastructure we operate ourselves.
How long we keep it
Demo requests are kept while we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Conversation transcripts, leads, bookings and uploaded documents are kept for as long as the relevant account is active, and are deleted on request or when the account is closed. Contact us if you would like a specific retention period agreed in writing.
Security
Traffic to and from the service is encrypted in transit, and stored data is encrypted at rest. Access to each account's data is scoped to that account throughout the application. Assistant embed keys are stored hashed and are bound to the domains the account owner lists. Administrative access requires authentication, and passwords are stored using one-way hashing.
What we do not claim: we are not SOC 2 certified, we do not hold ISO 27001, and we do not currently offer a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement. Please do not put protected health information or comparable regulated data into the platform.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Write to info@getparlix.com and we will respond. If your request concerns a conversation with an assistant on someone else's website, we will pass it to that business, since they control that data.
Cookies and local storage
The assistant widget stores a randomly generated session identifier in your browser so a conversation can continue across page loads. The customer portal stores an authentication token after sign-in. Neither is used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to account holders directly.
